Reader's Theater

I hope you enjoy these Reader's Theater plays. Reader's Theater serves many purposes. The main purpose is to help with reading fluency. A child becomes fluent with a book after they have read it three or four times. We practice our Reader's Theater plays every day for four days, and we present on the fifth day. Another purpose of Reader's Theater is to help with speaking in front of an audience. We talk about standing still, not holding the script in front of our faces, speaking at the right level, using expression, and pronouncing words correctly. A final purpose is to learn to cooperate in a group and work together to produce a final product.
